Growing a Mo’ in support of Prostate Cancer Research.

    Friday, November 14th, 2008

    Hey there!
I was just reminded of a great cause from a friend of ours. Steve is participating in “Movember” this month and growing a moustache to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer Research.

Please see his message below, and donate if you can!

    Hello All,

As many of you know from last year, this month for me is more aptly referred to as Movember. For those of you not familiar - this is the thirty day span in which I sacrifice my upper lip and general respectability for a great cause. Yes, once again I am growing a moustache in support of Prostate Cancer Research.

Last years campaign was a great success so I’m putting my lip on the line again in an attempt to better the 2007 total of $2,550. Please visit my 2008 Movember web site at the link below to see all the details and consider offering your support in the fight against prostate cancer - the number one cancer threat to Canadian men.

    http://igniter.ca/Movember08.html

    This is your best resource for ongoing updates, current donation total, a list of the generous contributors and a direct link to my Movember donation account. Alternatively you can contribute with a cheque by way of the following;

    1. Write a cheque payable to the ‘Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada’, referencing my Registration Number 1479891 and mailing it to:

Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada
    Attn: Movember
    145 Front Street East
    Suite 306
    Toronto Ontario M5A 1E3

Thank you to all for your support!
    Steve H.

What a great cause; please pass this to everyone you know to help support Steve’s Mo!

Hope you’re having a great day!

    Welcome to FreshPow!

    Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

We are so excited! Today is the official launch of FreshPow! There are some updates to let you in on so let us get started.

We have a ton of new designs for you (more coming too!) Designs for snowboards, skateboards and even stickers!

A couple of different options to check out (and these are just for starters) are the nature series, which is a collection of natural textures; rust, asphalt, bricks, even wood. Our geometric series is as the title suggests, a cool mix of shapes and colors.

Our newest addition to the FreshPow! team is Wes. Wes has an extensive background in boarding and in design as well. Check out the feature gallery because his work is great! Welcome to FreshPow! Wes, we’re happy you’ve joined us!

    —–

Because FreshPow! is all about fun and games, we’ve devised a few interesting and interactive contests for you to take part in. We are giving away some FREE FreshFaces, a few FunkyFresh t-shirts, stickers and tons more. Check out our contest page for full details, and make sure you take your camera with you to the park and hills - you’ll be glad you did!!

While you’re here, check out the events page because it’s loaded with upcoming events for the season. If you have an event, make sure you let us know so that we can post it and tell all of our Freshies about it. Also, if you found something that you want to let the world know about, send it to us - we’ll post it on our FreshFinds! section and shout it out from the rooftops!

We are excited to bring you a dynamic new idea - an idea that should have come to life long ago, and an idea that we’re sure you’ll love and hope you’ll contribute to. We want FreshPow! to be an interactive community full of vibrant ideas, great friends and loads of fun. We need you (the riders and sporting community) to help us out.

We’ll have new designs, designers and so much more coming soon. Please subscribe to our RSS feed so that you can stay in the loop or better yet, sign up for our newsletter and you’ll get some free stickers. See that yellow banner up at the top right corner of the site?! Fill that in and you’re golden!

Let us know what you’d like to see on FreshPow! Submit some designs of your own (we’ll pay you!), send us feedback, videos, tunes, pics and enter our contests.

Whatever you do just make sure you spread the news!! Tell all of your friends and riding pals that we exist and we’ll hold up our end to make sure and provide you with kickin’ stuff to checkout!

Cheers to the upcoming season, hope to see you back here really soon.
